Printing to scale

Always print at Actual size / 100% — Fit to page will silently change the grid spacing.
Use Normal (not draft / toner-save) so the thin grey lines remain visible.
If the right or bottom edge is clipped, increase the printer margin by 2–3 mm and reprint one test page.

How it differs from related templates

The grid is rendered as a vector PDF in your browser, so it stays sharp at any zoom.
Spacing is a drawing aid, not a calibrated measurement instrument.

What usually goes wrong

Printing with Fit to page — the grid silently rescales and a 5 mm square is no longer 5 mm.
Choosing toner-save / draft quality, which makes the thin grid lines disappear on cheaper printers.
Mixing inch and millimetre spacing on the same sheet — pick one system and stick to it.
Ignoring printer margins, so the right edge clips one column of squares and the page looks lopsided.
Treating the grid as a calibrated measurement tool — fine for sketches and homework, not for certified drawings.
